Anand Appears on Jason Mohammad Radio Show

As part of celebrations for National Curry Week (7-13 October), Purple Poppadom’s own Chef Anand George, was a guest on the Jason Mohammad show on BBC Radio Wales today.

As well as discussing our culinary style, Chef also brought in four dishes for the presenter to sample, including Lamb Rogan Josh, Venison Curry, Chicken Thai and Oxtail Crisp.

Sampling the Lamb Rogan Josh, Jason Mohammad said: “My Goodness, Anand George, this is the best curry I’ve ever had and I eat a lot of curry.”

Congratulated by Jason Mohammad and asked about the reasons behind our award-winning success, Chef Anand said: “I have a fantastic team and a very good,  loyal customer base, who appreciate what we do.  This gives us the confidence to change the menu very often with the seasonality and people appreciate it and we just keep on trying.”

Also interviewed was Peter Grove, founder and organiser of National Curry Week, who spoke about various charity events during the week, including the Poppadomathon relay race.
