Chef Anand George returns to Penarth Picnic 2017 and ready to present some favourites from his colourful Tukka Tuk truck offering freshly cooked Indian street food with an exciting twist.
Anand George has been a big hit on the food festival and street food circuit, quickly gaining a loyal following and now you can try his delicacies for yourself.
Tukka Tuk menu:
1. Samosa Chaat
Home-made samosa, roasted potatoes and peas, curried chickpeas, topped with yoghurt, tamarind chutney, green chutney, pomegranate and gram flour vermicelli
2. Kerala Fried Chicken and Chips
Chicken thigh spiced with ginger, green chilli, curry leaves, crushed coriander seeds, fennel seeds and deep fried, served with our Bombay fries, rocket leaves, pickled cucumber, red onion and apple chutney and home-made thousand island sauce
3. Beef and Tapioca
Slow cooked beef brisket and tapioca with aromatic spices and herbs, rocket leaves, pickles, crispy brisket, shallots and chilli relish inspired from Anand George’s book “The 5000 Mile Journey”
4. Bombay Fries and Thousand Island Sauce
Bombay fries, rocket leaves, pickled cucumber, red onion and apple chutney and home-made thousand island sauce
