We are named Indian Restaurant of the Year 2017!

We are delighted to have been named Indian Restaurant of the Year in the South Wales Echo Food & Drink Awards 2017!

South Wales Echo Food & Drink Awards

South Wales Echo Food & Drink Awards

It is an honour to have won this award as we celebrate our fifth year of opening!

In their adjudication, the judges wrote:

“The restaurant on Cowbridge Road East has continued to go from strength to strength since chef Anand George launched it five years ago.

Diners enjoy a reinvention of classic Indian curries in contemporary surroundings with dishes like chocolate samosas.

The judges said: “Purple Poppadom has been – and remains – a bellwether of excellence in Cardiff and it offers something few of its competitors do.”
