“Best Indian restaurant in Cardiff definitely recommend!”

Review by Emily W via tripadvisor.com on 21st July 2013

I been to a few Indian restaurants in Cardiff but none like purple popadom. My friend recommended this restaurant so me and my sister came for early dinner at 5. On entering we were welcome to our seat. Atmosphere was clean and modern. The waiter told us about their celebration of the ocean menu which sounded interesting. We ordered our drink and I couldn’t decide what to order for food, so the waiter kindly recommended some of his favourites. I ordered the Vege variation for starter and my sister ordered the streets of Mumbai. The starter was nicely presented and bursting with flavour. Our favourite of the night. For main course I had the lamb shank when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It looked appetising served with mash and mint sorbet. My sister had halibut biryani and peshwari nan which we order everytime we have Indian, this was the best peshwari by far. I love my sauce and during my course I ran out and the waiter gave me a new pot. By this time we were bloated and couldn’t move but we still opted to try one of the chefs selection dessert. I’m glad we did, once again was it was presently beautifully which came in three little portions. The staff and manager were all friendly and you will definately see us there as a regular!!
