Enjoy an Indian Cooking Experience at Purple Poppadom with Chef Anand George.

Join multi-award-winning Chef Anand George in our Purple Poppadom Cardiff restaurant for a dynamic half-day cookery experience in our very own kitchen. If you are not a whizz with cuisine but have a passion for Indian food, improving your culinary skills, and working with spices and flavours then this is the class for you.

Under the guidance of Chef and his team you will be recreating four dishes made famous Purple Poppadom while being treated to Indian snacks, followed by a two-course lunch. Then take away your own Anand George branded apron and the food you have cooked.

This is the perfect gift for special occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas or even small team-building exercises.

Each course will be held on selected Sundays each month.  Please arrive at 9.45 am for a welcome tea or coffee and briefing with Chef George and then the cooking experience will begin at 10 am and end at approximately 1.30 pm.

The dishes you will be creating at the cookery school will be:

Tandoori Salmon:
Salmon marinated with mustard, honey and spices.

Puri:
Unleavened deep-fried bread

Potato Curry:
Potatoes enhanced with ginger, green chilli and curry leaves

Keralan Chicken Stew:
Chicken stewed in fragrant spices, finished with coconut milk

The cost per person is £149.  Below are the available dates to book cookery school experience.

N.B: The health and safety of all visitors and staff is an ongoing priority so our staff will be ensuring all workstations, equipment, and surrounding areas have been sanitised before and after your session. We will be asking you to present a negative lateral flow test on arrival or a Covid passport.
