For one evening only, on February 14th, enjoy an exclusive St Valentine’s Dinner at Purple Poppadom, created by our multi-award-winning chef Anand George. We are open and serving from 5pm – 11pm.

This year, chef has created a romantic carriage ride of taste experiences with dishes inspired by regional Indian cuisines, with Anand George’s unique twists and creativity.

We have chosen as this year’s menu theme  ‘Colours of Love’ inspired by the beautiful poem of the same name by Indian Poet M. Asim Nehal.

We have selected the theme due to the rich kaleidescope of colours reflected in Chef’s menu, which along with his many layers of flavours, combination of textures and tastes and deft presentation, are so redolent of Anand George’s craft.

You can be sure that this is a unique experience that nobody else in Cardiff, Wales, the UK and wider will be able to enjoy on this most romantic of days!

As this is a complex, one-off dinner, on February 14th we will only be serving this special St Valentine’s Dinner, with the normal Purple Poppadom menu resuming on Wednesday 15th February.

Awadhi-style Chicken thigh marinated with saffron and aromatic spices, coated with egg, cooked in Tandoor, served with Mooli ka Achaar (radish pickle)


Grilled Aubergine rolled in Feta and Dill leaves, crumbed & fried, served with stir-fried moju (Sri Lankan aubergine) in a creamy sauce
