Having heard good reviews, I was curious to visit the Purple Poppadom and I had a great evening. The menu offered a choice that contrasted with the restaurant itself in a way that it came across more sophisticated than the furniture and decoration choice.
From the starters we shared, the calamari was beautiful as was the bombay chat. I then had the nawabi chicken which was the best dish out of our chosen mains, truly good. The service was efficient and very friendly. The front of house was especially good, explaining the more original elements of our meal and you could tell how proud he was which was lovely to see. I would happily go back!
