Our New Weekday Evening Set Menu
We are pleased to introduce SUNSET, our new weekday evening set menu at Purple Poppadom.
Available Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 9pm (last orders), SUNSET offers a relaxed way to dine with us midweek, with a choice of two courses for £24.95 or three courses for £29.95 per person.
In the spirit of our MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recognition — which celebrates quality cooking at good value — SUNSET reflects what we believe dining should be: carefully prepared dishes, balanced flavours, and thoughtful hospitality, all at an accessible price point.
The Menu
SUNSET brings together some of our favourite regional Indian dishes, prepared with the same attention to detail as our à la carte menu.
Starters
– Salmon Cake – Salmon fillet blended with spices and breadcrumbed
– Alloo Tikki – Potato cake served on a bed of spiced chickpeas
– Chicken Tikka – Chicken breast marinated with cardamom and cheese, finished in the tandoor
Main Courses
(All served with rice and naan.)
– Prawn Alleppey – Inspired by the seafood kitchens of Kerala’s backwaters, tiger prawns in a vibrant raw mango, ginger and coconut sauce
– Saag Murgh – Chicken tikka cooked with leaf spinach, onions, tomatoes and spices, finished with fenugreek
– Dal Makhni – Slow-cooked black lentils enriched with butter and cream
A vegetarian option is always available.

Midweek Dining in Pontcanna
SUNSET is designed for those joining us after work, meeting friends, or simply enjoying a quieter evening in Pontcanna. It is not a separate offering, but an extension of our approach — regional Indian cuisine prepared with integrity and served with warmth.
