Eat here if you want to experience Indian cuisine as it should be – professionally prepared and imaginative dishes from a refreshingly restrained menu (not here the endless lists of curry sauces with whatever meat/seafood/vegetables you want floating in them!).
The three of us shared two starters: onion palak pagoda (onion, spinach and potato fritters) and a trio of three different flavoured tandoori grilled chicken breast pieces, then I had big chunks of lamb cooked in rogan josh style, my wife had tiger prawns cooked in a velvet smooth mango, fresh ginger and coconut sauce, and we shared a saffron rice and a dal. My daughter’s lamb biriani came served in a bowl under a flaky crust. To finish we could not resist the tandoori pineapple which came with the most gorgeous coconut ice cream. Plenty of attentive staff helped to make our evening very enjoyable.
