The Times Names us in UK’s Top 30 Best Curry Restaurants!

We are delighted to report The Times newspaper has named Purple Poppadom, Cardiff, in the Top 30 Best restaurants for curry in the UK!

The TimesFeaturing us at No. 12 in the Top 30 and the only restaurant in Wales, The Times wrote ‘Contrary to its name, this self-styled nouvelle Indian doesn’t actually serve purple poppadoms, just thoughtfully presented, delicious food such as the signature pan-seared “tiffin” sea bass infused mashed potato, raw mango, ginger and coconut sauce and beetroot pachadi.’

Chef Anand George of Purple Poppadom said: “To be named by The Times as one of the Top restaurants for curry for the whole of the UK is a great accolade for the Purple Poppadom team. We would like to thank The Times for this wonderful honour and always, our great customers for loyally supporting our work. Who knows, one day, we might really serve purple poppadoms!’

To celebrate our wonderful news we will be giving guests a complimentary glass of Cobra beer when they book to enjoy dishes from our main a la carte menu. Just quote Purple30 when booking your table.
