We welcome our new menu ~ A Winter’s Tale

Chef Anand George

As we celebrate the icy crisp season of comfort-eating, Chef Anand George and the team are delighted to welcome you to our Purple Poppadom ‘Winter’s Tale’ Menu.

The menus are available from 2nd October 2013 and our aim is to take you through the classic ingredients and flavours of this time of year; with new game dishes, hearty vegetables, tender roasted lamb, oxtail and belly pork dishes, as well as our restaurant favourites.

Always with an eye to tradition and heritage, we present both a classical Anglo-Indian style dish, and our own homage to our home – the Cardiff curry house classic of Chicken Tikka Half & Half.

As we go from strength to strength, Chef George said “I would like to congratulate our kitchen brigade and service team for helping us achieve our debut entries in the renowned Good Food Guide 2014 and Michelin Guide 2014. These welcome accolades represent a major chapter in the Purple Poppadom story.

Finally thank you to our loyal customers for continuing to share our culinary journey of innovation that is Nouvelle Indian Cuisine.”

The starter of aloo chaat was incredible. The staff were really friendly and the service was great. I am looking forward to going back

The portions are smaller than normal but the food is perfectly cooked. The service was also excellent and quick. They have adequate professional number of staff who were always nearby to attend

    • Review via Tripadvisor by DenisinWales on 26th September 2018 1st despite the very long sign board covering 2 store fronts, the entrance is a tiny door at the far left. Once you climb to the 1st floor, you are greeted with a very understated and tasteful restaurant seating about 60-70 people. For a Tuesday night

    • Review by Ellym106, TripAdvisor, April 2018 We had an excellent meal here. We visited India in November and know how the food is supposed to be – and this is it!
