This is your chance to treat mum to a special Mother’s Day menu at Purple Poppadom Cardiff, by winning our Twitter Mother’s Day prize draw.

We have two prizes to win consisting of a table for two, on Mother’s Day, Sunday March 10th,  including a bottle of Los Picos wine.

Mother’s Day Menu

– TRIO OF STARTERS –

Mumtaz Tikka

Chicken breast marinated with garlic and turmeric and finished in the tandoor

Ipomoea Patate

Golden sweet potato cake served with homemade chutneys

Pattice Boeuf

Tender cooked prime beef mince cooked with aromatic spices and encased
in crispy breadcrumbs

– MIDDLE COURSE –

Kozhi Cwtch

Keralan style dish, of succulent chicken supreme, potatoes and carrots gently stewed with peppercorns, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves and finished with coconut milk.

Served with Appams (traditional light rice pancake)

– MAIN COURSE –

Lamb Nihari

Inspired by the royal Nawab dish of Gosht Nihari from Lucknow. Renowned for its spiciness, and full flavour and tender texture for a rich taste experience

Tatws Bébé

Aloo jeera, baby potatoes tossed with onions and tomatoes and flavoured with cumin seeds

Pilav Rice
Assorted traditional breads

Banana Bon Bon

Dainty Kerala style fritters of banana with mixed berries served with
homemade vanilla ice cream

    • What a day, what an experience; from start to finish, well organised, conducted and delivered. At first it may seem expensive, but once you are on the course you soon realise it is very good value for money. The keep-sake ‘Anand George’ recipe book and denim apron, the sample food throughout the day and taster meal

The starter of aloo chaat was incredible. The staff were really friendly and the service was great. I am looking forward to going back

The portions are smaller than normal but the food is perfectly cooked. The service was also excellent and quick. They have adequate professional number of staff who were always nearby to attend

Once you climb to the 1st floor, you are greeted with a very understated and tasteful restaurant seating about 60-70 people. For a Tuesday night

Everything was beautifully cooked and full of flavour, with our particular favourites being the onion pakoras, laccha parathas and the planner makhni – the
